The story of the road to Emmaus (Luke 24) reveals how easily we can miss Christ walking beside us. These two men journeyed with the risen Jesus, yet grief, confusion, and disappointment kept them from recognizing Him. Only in the breaking of the bread — in hospitality, stillness, fellowship, and communion — were their eyes opened, and in utter amazement they exclaimed, “were not our hearts burning within us?”

We, too, can move through life distracted by noise, busyness, sorrow, or uncertainty, unaware that Jesus is already near. Spiritual Direction offers a quiet and prayerful space to become attentive to God’s presence — to listen deeply, to notice His movement in our lives, and to allow our hearts to burn aflame with love for Him. This is not a matter of doing more, but being transformed as we notice His love for us.

What is Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual direction is a sacred journey of learning to notice and respond to God’s presence in your life. It is not about gaining more information about God, but about becoming more aware of Him in the unfolding story of your everyday life—learning to listen, to trust, and to walk with Him more closely. At the heart of this practice is the belief that the Holy Spirit is the true Director, gently leading each person in His own way.

In spiritual direction, the spiritual director is not a counselor, teacher, or advice-giver, but a compassionate and attentive companion who holds space for you to be seen, heard, and known. It is a space of deep vulnerability and authenticity, free from judgment or criticism. The director listens with care, may ask gentle questions, and reflects where they notice God’s presence and movement in your life. This is a caring relationship with clear boundaries, held in privacy and confidentiality, creating a safe space where you can simply be with God and grow in awareness of His love.

Where and when do we meet?

Currently, I hold all meetings virtually via Zoom. Sessions are 60 minutes long.

For available hours please reach out to me. I am happy to work around your schedule and find something that works for both of us!

How often do we meet? How long will we meet for?

Spiritual direction sessions are usually held once a month. The length of your engagement is flexible and up to you. You may choose to participate for a short, focused season or for a longer period of ongoing soul care and encouragement in your faith journey.

How much is a session?

I offer a sliding scale of $35 - 55.

However, if finances are a barrier at this time, I invite you to reach out so we can find a fee that works for your situation.
